Common Mental Health Conditions

Anxiety 

Anxiety is a term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

Intense fear, Restlessness, Anxiety attacks (heavily/hard/rapid to breathing, sweating, shaking, feeling faint), Cannot function

Depression

Depression is a term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

Persistent sadness, Loss of interest in pleasurable things (eating, drinking, having fun, etc), Suicidal/Selfharm thoughts

Bipolar

Bipolar is term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

Long period (every few weeks/months) INTENSE mood swings, Highs: feeling invincible, not resting/hyper, super happy - Downs: feeling sad, anxiety, loss of interest in pleasurable things (eating, drinking, having fun, etc)

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD is a term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

An obsessive/constant need to do repetitive actions (common examples include an unreasonable need to clean or rearrange items)

Schizophrenia


Schizophrenia is a term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

Hallucinations, Delusions, Reality distortion, Disorganized speech/thought

Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

ADHD is term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

A lack of attention, hyperactivity, the need to physically move, impulsiveness, a lack of focus, a lack of patience

Sociopathy

Sociopathy is a term for people who are able to understand others feelings but feeling no empathy/care for them

For example:

Hearing that a friends parent died and feeling no remorse or empathy for them despite knowing that their friend is super distraught

Borderline

Borderline is a term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

Short period (every few hours/days) INTENSE mood swings, Highs: feeling invincible, not resting/hyper, super happy - Downs: feeling sad, anxiety, loss of interest in pleasurable things (eating, drinking, having fun, etc)

Psychotic/Psychopathy

Psychopath is a term for people who are not able to understand others feelings and cannot feel empathy

For example:

Not being able to understand why someone is upset that their parents died

Narcissism


Narcissism is a term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

A belief that they are the best at everything, a need for attention, admirations, and compliments, a lack of empathy


Dissociative Behavior/Dissociation

Dissociation is a term for people who regularly/repeatedly experience:

A feeling of disconnection from the world, confusion, blurry memory, emotion detachment


Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

PTSD is a term for people who have experience a traumatic event and thus regularly/repeatedly experience:

INTENSE flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, uncontrollable actions, irrational fears,
